The PIMS Summer School on the Topology and Geometry of Quantum Matter will be hosted at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The University of Alberta acknowledges that we are located on Treaty 6 territory, and respects the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and all First Peoples of Canada, whose presence continues to enrich our vibrant community.

The lectures will take place in the Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS) on the University of Alberta’s North (main) campus. Located on the south edge of the North Saskatchewan River valley, the University of Alberta is one of Canada’s largest research-intensive universities, with approximately 30,000 undergraduate students, 7,000 graduate students, and over $500M in annual research funding.

The closest airport is the Edmonton International Airport (YEG), located approximately 30 kilometers south of downtown Edmonton. Participants travelling from abroad will need either a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to a Canadian airport. Please keep in mind that organizers cannot write letters of invitation or assist with any visa or entry matters. It is the responsibility of accepted participants to ensure that they have the proper documentation and clearance for travel.
